Growing the Game in Wheeling Since 1987

Wheeling Area Soccer Association brings together players, coaches, and families who share a passion for the game. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where kids of all ages can develop their skills, learn teamwork, and gain confidence both on and off the field. Through recreational leagues, competitive travel teams, and year-round training opportunities, we are proud to serve the Ohio Valley and help soccer thrive in our community.

WASA MISSION STATEMENT

Wheeling Area Soccer Association provides youth ages 4 to 16 in the Ohio Valley with opportunities to learn, play, and compete in soccer through instructional, recreational, and competitive programs that build skills, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Programs for Every Player

Four Ways to Play, Learn, and Grow

At WASA, we believe every player deserves the right environment to develop their love for soccer. That is why we offer four distinct programs that meet players where they are in their journey. Our recreational league, known simply as WASA, is the perfect place for kids to start learning the game, make friends, and enjoy playing in a relaxed, supportive setting. For those ready for more competition, FC Wheeling is our travel program that takes players to the next level with higher-level coaching, structured training, and matches against strong teams from across the region.

In addition to seasonal leagues, we offer our Youth Academy, a focused offseason training program that sharpens skills, builds confidence, and keeps players active year-round. Our Outreach program extends soccer into the community with events, personal training, and certification opportunities for coaches and referees. No matter the program, our goal is the same—help every player improve, stay active, and have fun along the way.
